1. I learned how to shoot a handgun. I put that one first just to let all you would-be burgalars know that I'm armed not only with a handgun, but also a shotgun and a huge mag-lite in case I need to finish you off. In other words, I'm not scared of you (and I won't be sleeping with the lights on anymore when I'm home alone).

2. I shot Troy's Glock .40 and hit the bullseye on the first time. And he didn't.

3. I rode 50 miles on my bike on my first try (and yes, I'll be talking about that forever...or until I finish a century).

4. I got my lazy carcass out of bed this morning at 6am to run 5 miles with Downtown D. I love running with her...not a moment of silence!

Well, I guess that's it. I guess when I titled this post I thought I had done alot more than I really had.

I also realized that in order to finish my 1,000 Miles Challenge with myself I have to average 24 miles per week between now and the end of the year. Good thing riding my bike counts or I might not ever meet that goal, although it would be nice to get 1,000 running miles in...there is always next year!

After my run with Downtown D, I got a massage. I scheduled it today because I thought I'd need it after that long ride last Saturday...surprisingly the only thing that has hurt are my elbows! I got home to an empty house because Troy is at his batchelor party (and surprisingly didn't want to take me??!!). I wish I were one of those people who could sit around and watch movies and eat ice cream while I have all this alone time...instead, I plan on finishing addressing the wedding invitations, going on a mountain bike ride tomorrow, followed by a long run on Sunday. I also plan on doing a test run of the wedding favors (it's food!) and making a new batch of beer. If I have enough time I might go shoot my new gun.

I'm jealous of those people who know how to make themselves sit down!

Also, when I arrived home the lawn guys were here to make the yard look neighborhood-worthy, and the house keeper will be here any minute.

Life is good is good!

Have a great weekend!

There's nothing like shooting a gun. There's something about that brings some power.
