ADDENDUM TO POST BELOW

I posted something interesting below...interesting enough to read in my opinion.

But now, as I sit here thinking about what I've done I realized something....I hate Disney stuff. Yeah, I know. The Disney hate club doesn't have very many members. I don't know why but I've never liked cartoon or childish characters...even when I was a kid.

Any how, I've paid my $133 and there's no turning back now (ha. Did I also mention that I belong to the I-like-to-register-for-marathons-and-not-run-them club?)

One other thing that i forgot to mention. I think having this bike has made me want to be more active. I've found myself running regularly and biking on the same days I'm running. I even ran 5 miles Friday morning, rode my bike Friday afternoon, and ran another 4 miles Friday night...weird.

It is ok. I love the parks but I am not too fond of the characters. You will still love the race. Disney or not, it is just fun to run though theme parks.

so did you sign up for the disney marathon? is that what your "crazy" thing was? i clicked on the picture on your previous blog but it wasn't very clear! there are at least 2 half marathons that i signed up for that i never ran and also 2 Bay to Breakers race in san francisco that i missed 2 years in a row due to severe hang overs!!

I did the Disney Marathon several years ago. I'm not a fan, but there really is something magical about running through Epcot all lit up and finishing to throngs of spectators. That the majority of the course is on unspectacular service roads is a bummer, but they do try to spice it up with characters and gospel choirs.

Sounds like with the bike & running, you need to join us down in Cordele for the GA Veterans Triathlon on Aug. 16th.

Racers get a choice of participating in a triathlon, a half-mile swim in Lake Blackshear, a 13.6-mile bike race and a 3.1-mile run, or a duathlon, which drops the half-mile swim. Registration fee. $3 parking. (229) 273-1668.
