Well, I guess I'll find out if the hay's there on Saturday.
I've run extremely minimal miles this week. Think 11 to be exact.
I'm not sure that I've done everything that I could to prepare for this, but who does?
Maybe that's the thrill of the marathon...that not-knowing if what you've done or not done, will make you or break you.
I guess if we always knew that we had trained hard enough, we wouldn't continue to put our bodies through 26.2 miles of pure bliss.
So, on Saturday I will journey into the 2nd marathon of my career (ha). I want to say that I'm not sure that I'll PR, but I just don't think that's true. I really think that I will. I don't feel like I'll surprise myself in any way. With the exception that after years of smoking, partying, and living a life that was not conducive to running marathons, I will be able to say that once again I surprised myself by just getting up Saturday morning and doing it.
So here's to all my running buddies that will be along side me, in front of me, or behind me (right), I hope you have a GREAT race!
**Post race report will be up on Monday. And it's TROYS birthday on Saturday so if he happens to run past you, give him a birthday high five :)
