I am feeling mucho better. A little sinus drainage and a few sniffles but nothing this superstar can't handle.
Tomorrow, bright and early, I'll be joining Ultra Girl for her 40 mile training run. Yes, I said "training". And no, I didn't mistype 4-0. And absolutely I will not be running the whole 40 with her. She's the crazy one...I'm the sane one*. And that's why we make perfect Maniac Buddies (I think that's our name for the Muddy Buddy.)
I'll be running the 16 I promised myself I'd do last weekend. And it's gonna be freakin' C-O-L-D!
I hate that I missed the Aviation Museum Half Marathon this morning. From what I've heard/read, so many of the Macon Tracks made it out there and it looks like everyone either PR'ed or placed for their age group! And it was C-O-L-D and rainy, so that makes them hard core too! I just wish I could have been there to see the smiles on everyone's face. Who doesn't love a PR or a great trophy????
Monday, I'm running the Dirty Runs the City which is an interesting name for a race. I haven't got the foggiest idea if it's a5k or a 10k, but I'm certain I'll be able to handle whatever it is. I really don't know anything about the race except for what I linked you to. Oh, and that Karate Girl and Lenora ** will be there. And well, that's good enough for me.
Tuesday is my night out with Sandra and Justice so there will be no running in the forecast. I'll probably try and get my own version of speedwork in during lunch. I'm hoping that Ultra Girl will be up for meeting me on Thursday for lunchtime work. Thursday night our group is going to see The Spirit of the Marathon and Friday I'm hoping that Downtown D will be up for 10 miles. And I'll round out Sunday with 18 miles, which will totally make me on Tim's cycle now, and I just couldn't be happier! Somewhere in there I'll fit in a 2 mile walk with Kathie, so if you need to find me next week re-read this paragraph!
One last thing...Troy came in 10th place for the Dent Olympix. I guess it was time for him to pass the reigns (he's come in first place twice already! (See press release) I guess this just means that next year I'll have to go and cheer him on, because I'm certain the only reason he didn't place first was because he couldn't stop thinking about me....or maybe not.
I hope everyone has a GREAT week ahead of them!
*She's really not crazy...just hard core.
**I know I spelled your name wrong but my brother called me today and said "how did Lenora do in the race?" and I just decided from that point forward it's just going to be your new name (I even changed it on the blog link...as well as Karate Girl's)
