More Miles

Not many, but at least I got some in.

Let's face it...I'm just busy. And until school stuff, work stuff, wedding stuff is done, it looks like my life is going to be this way. Until next October (of '08). And I'll be glad when I can just answer the question "when are you getting married" with a simple "October" rather than having to designate a year to it. At any rate, all my busyness started to get to me today (surprise) and I even called the Secretary of State's office (who hands out the CPA license) to find out if maybe my government accounting experience would not qualify me for the license. Because if it didn't, why bother taking the test (again), right? Of course, as my luck would have it, I was assured over and over and over and over and over again that because I work in a government related field, I do NOT have to be supervised by a CPA. I just have to have 5 years in the job. And dangit, I have that. So, that plan failed. My next plan is to convince myself that being a CPA is overrated :)

But, back to this blog's point (okay, the point some of the time). I got 5.5 miles in with Downtown D and Long Legs C. DT D and I have such short legs that we have to take at least 5 steps to equal one of LL C which actually works to our advantage. We run faster just trying to keep up with her. DT D ended up hanging back which didn't work to her advantage. We got ahead of her and she never saw us turn down that side street, which meant she ended up running farther than us. Way to be an overachiever! At any rate, it was a slow 10 min/mile pace with plenty of hills, but I enjoyed it just the same. I think I posted something earlier in the week about getting more miles in, but at this point I'm not sure what will happen. I am CERTAIN that at some point in my life I will be less busy. Really.

And last, but not least. Another wedding update. Booked the entertainment coordinator (what we used to call a "dj"). We're very excited about him as we've heard he's the bomb, and well, he's got a really nice kid. Okay, so we are excited about him (and he does have the most politest little 4 year old I've met), but at least that's one-more-thing-done!!!! Here's his shout-out.

Have a great Friday!

(Although that is not what our entertainment coordinator will look like (or at least I hope not), the photo was courtesy of angelzfunnyz.com)

Ok, WTG on the run, and on getting the artist formerly known as a DJ booked as well, I know that's a load off:-)

I know you'll take your life back!

Being a CPA is over rated especially depending on what you wish to do. I have done well in my field without being a CPA. Of course being a premier wedding crasher helps.

I know where your dress is at by the way.
