2 Miles....

So, I only got in 2 miles this morning...

But in my defense...okay, I have no defense...

But explain this: how did i figure out (in my sleep) that my new ipod alarm clock docking station has a snooze button on the remote???

In my sleep people! I think I am the only person in the world who can figure out how to remotely snooze while still snoozing.

But, on the bright side: I got my running shoes on. And on the even brighter side: I got in 30 minutes of weight lifting pre-run. Oh, and on the even-more-freakin-bright side:

Mile 1: I ran it in 8:27

And

Mile 2: in 8:00 flat.

For real.

Not even a hint of lacing up the shoes in a week and I run like that? It makes me go back to the age old question: what would I be capable of if I actually put some effort into this?

Tomorrow I've got 4 on the books. We'll see how my alarm clock robs me tomorrow morning (note: I've decided to start blaming my oversleeping on the alarm clock rather than taking responsibility for it...I'm already responsible for enough these days....)

Sometimes taking off and getting down on yourself and then running well afterwards is just what the doctor ordered! Just think . . . if you were running 9 minute miles, you could turn in an easy 6 to 8 miler!
