Okay, well I'm coordinating it for a professional organization that I belong to. Proceeds (which will be minimal...very minimal...) will go towards our highschool scholarship fund.
I'm sorta excited and sorta nervous. So much could go wrong. But probably won't. I've got a good crew that volunteered to help (including T!) and one very experienced runner/volunteer, Jim! He runs a couple of races a weekend (yes, a couple most weekends) so his experience has been invaluable!
Water - check
Gatorade - check
Bananas and granola bars - check
Registration table - check
People to direct traffic - check
Medals for all sorts of categories - check
Plus check, check, check for all the other misc items I might need.
So, tomorrow at 1000 I will make my debute as a race coordinator.
