Sometime during 2006 I started posting my distance running (courtesy of BreakingTheTape.com). And so, it was strange and odd this morning when I noticed that my "year to date" was ZERO. There is a first time for everything, but I can't wait to get in that first run of the year so I can make it 5 or 7 or 10 or whatever I decide will be my first run of the year.
I can't believe I'm up this early on the New Years Day. I'm sure I'm the only one....we stayed up until about 12:30 and then I passed out...not drunk passed out, just tired passed out. We had friends over so that makes it that much more embarrassing. Oh well. It was a fun, uneventful New Years celebration filled with food, Cranium (btw, you would so want me on your team...), and good beer :) The best way to celebrate in my eyes :) Besides, I dragged T all over the mall yesterday doing our 10+ Christmas returns. Sorry about that.
I probably won't run today. T's family (+ my dad) are coming over for dinner...the traditional collards, blackeyed peas, and corn bread...(seenhere) of which I have never have tried to cook in my life. Thank goodness T's mom is coming over to help! I asked him if we could start our own tradition with spaghetti or something like that...I shoulda followed up with that....
At any rate, I hope everyone has a fabulous, prosperous, healthy New Year!
